Community rules

Last updated: 3 November 2026

On Say It you can say what you feel, even with strong words: anger, sadness and frustration are welcome. These rules protect you, your readers and the people you talk about.

How moderation works

Every post, edit and nickname is checked before publication:

  1. Automatic rules immediately block phone numbers, emails, social media handles, links and explicit blasphemy.
  2. An artificial intelligence system assesses the context and decides whether the post can be published, needs rephrasing, contains personal data or must be checked by a person.
  3. A person checks posts under review and reported posts, usually within 72 hours.

Possible outcomes: published; published with help resources (if the post suggests a very difficult moment; in these cases we don't show it among the most popular, don't share it on social media and don't place ads next to it); under review; to be rephrased or contains personal data (the post is not saved and you can correct it). Automatic checks can make mistakes: that's why there are human review and appeals.

Reporting content

From the ••• menu of any post choose Report and give the reason. The author won't know who reported. After 3 reports from different people the post is hidden until we check it. You can also report by writing to kida.mancinimesi@gmail.com with the text and the reason; for illegal content, explain why you believe it is illegal.

Removals and appeals

If we remove your post you get a notification and find the reason in My posts. For serious or repeated breaches the profile may be restricted and will no longer be able to post. If you think a decision is wrong, write to kida.mancinimesi@gmail.com within 6 months, indicating the post: a person will review the decision and reply. You also keep the right to turn to an out-of-court dispute settlement body or to the courts (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, "Digital Services Act").

Say It is not an emergency or mental health service. If you are in danger, call your local emergency number (112 in the EU). In Italy you can talk to Telefono Amico 02 2327 2327 or Samaritans Onlus 06 77208977; elsewhere, find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
